WE WORK BY APPOINTMENT AND COUNT ON YOU TO BE ON TIME.
We are located 34 miles North North East of Boston near, off old Route 1-A along the Atlantic coast. Route 1-A is an old meander, east of and parallel to the north/south highways Route 1 and Interstate 95.
ESTIMATED TIME (depending on traffic and your tendency to speed)
4 to 5 hours from Manhattan or Brooklyn,
2 hours from Providence, RI,
35-60 minutes from downtown Boston.
25-30 minutes north of Logan airport.
Rowley's commuter rail station right nearby, just 55 minutes on the Newburyport line out of North Station, Boston. For folks who love mass transit, we are sorry that both train and bus from NYC arrive at Boston's South Station. No direct link to North Station exists, even from the airport! so leave time to walk or make the necessary, mystery links underground with a Charlie card on the "T".
Hum it, or the lyrics are: "did he ever return? no, he never returned, and his fate is still unlearned, (Poor ole Charlie) he is gone forever 'neath the streets of Boston, he's the man who never returned..."
DRIVING from NYC, use your preferred route to the Mass. Turnpike, Route I-90 EAST. Pay toll and follow signs to I-95 NORTH towards Maine and New Hampshire.
After a half hour on I-95 North, TAKE Exit 54 Georgetown-Rowley, Rt. 133 Go RIGHT at top of ramp. TAKE Route 133 EAST. In 2 miles, you intersect Rt. 1 at a stop light. The Agawam Diner is on your right. (Important: Do NOT turn onto Route One here, proceed STRAIGHT two miles to Route ONE-A.)
CONTINUE STRAIGHT on Route 133 EAST, another 2 miles to intersection with ROUTE 1-A. Most traffic merges right here but not you.
TURN LEFT at stop onto ROUTE 1-A NORTH. Route 1-A North is Main Street, Rowley.
CONTINUE on 1-A one mile north, straight through the stop light in downtown Rowley (Post Office, pharmacy, churches. )
TURN RIGHT onto WAREHOUSE LANE about 1/2 mi. north of town ----Its the first paved road on the right since the light and an oblique right, just after the field/house/barn called TODD FARM ANTIQUES. If you go too far, the next street on the right is Railroad Ave.
We are #69 Warehouse Lane, 1/4 mile down the lane, the house just after the BIG BROWN BARN with boats in its parking lot. #69 is a brown house on right.
Most drivers miss us the first time and speed down to the Marina, a dead end at the river. Just turn around and c'mon back. Please park in our driveway.
